EA simply fucking sucks at making games. They do easy cash grabs cause they have a monopoly on the sports market with these absurd contracts. They copy and paste everything, and EA UFC 5 was a prime example of that. They reward people playing online for doing the toxic shit, rather than the people trying to have a genuine UFC sim experience. They dont penalize anyone for throwing 45 punches and missing them all. They have the most whack animations for the denials. The cage knockdowns are so incredibly bunk dude. Ground game is extra trash with the bullshit ground and pound, one elbow and it closes your guard? But most of all, those retarded "desperate escapes". My goooooodness, EA needs to be barred from making games FR. Id say they do well with Madden, but hell even they blow it on those. Everything is literally a money grab with that company. NFL 2k5? First player helmet view, you could buy a mansion, fill it with shit and even play paper football. That shit was way ahead of its time, yet here EA is doing the same thing theyve done with the games for X amount of years now

I was playing ufc 3 today and had a blast😂 no bs grappling, strikes actually do damage and cost stamina, no braindead submission system it was perfect

These guys absolutely suck, i find the only way to beat these type of players is to welcome the grappling and beat them at there own game, so try and take them down and beat them, either that or catch them

If you really want to see how bad the punches are in this game, go into career in hard or legendary and see how many perfect shots you set up on the cpu and look at the damage it does it’s comical even if it’s maxed out punched with a perk

I kinda like the possibility of "high octane" fights that you might see in lower weight classes, but maybe balance it so that if they choose to push too far beyond what the fighter is capable of then they take a massive hit to their recovery

100 power in this game should be way higher power wise, I can understand this if I you're playing khabib, etc, but the ground game has been the same as ufc 1 and I'm a high level grappler the animations feel sloppy they camera angles, if your fighting peirera two or 3 clean shots should be sleep time.. why don't they just make simulation mode competitive mode it's so much more realistic

They always say they’re trying to as realistic as possible but if you get your clinch side stepped by Alex you’re going to sleep there’s no way around it😂

UFC 4 was my first ever ufc now 5 is my second I get better and better I love ufc i use skill but people that play cheesy play to have a good record not actually good, it’s hard to find legit comp because finding comp makes it fun it’s ok if your record is trash or if your not good just keep playing and find your style it’s no big deal but people have no combos and it angers me I don’t care if I get a win they play like 💩 and I’m disgusted to my stomach LOVE YOU PRY YOU DA GOAT❤️

They really need an actual realism mode where they increase the stamina usage, damage, transition speeds, and cut resistance

The antidote to this play-style rn especially when the user is this aggressive abt it is to spam uppercuts in anticipation of his takedown shots and be aggressive with body shots over time to reduce stamina for their ground game overall as the fight progresses.. if he’s smart and starts throwing uppies back @ you on body punches look for the read slip counter & then just wait for the stamina advantage to build for the knock out, reverse sub or rage quit 9 times outta 10 🤓

I think it should be slower paced not slower movement style it should be more snappy with more stamina cost and combos should be more open to more options

Ufc 3 speed was great. they just need to add clinch denial, they probably won’t because that small little feature will kill off half their players. The no skill bums probably play the game the most

I feel like what sets him apart from other ppl is his distancing. There be moments in his good fights where he gets fuckd up by the distancing and he has to readjust. That’s y he always reads his opponent first nd not throwing

re downloaded the game a couple of weeks back after months away from it for this exact reason. Some guys on reddit saying it was better and they'd patched a lot of the issues and straight away I ran into this takedown spam crap. Deleted the game again, its beyond repair.

Simple clinch denial added would wipe all these players styles. The vulnerability for catching people goin for td or clinch isnt there but clinch denials would much better

This game is more of a UFC 4.5 other than a 5. EA drops the ball a little bit on this series, IMO. Im not a hardcore player of it though. That NCAA 25 looks good as hell though. Go Canes!

Im with you. In ufc5 this playstyle is sadly meta. 90% of ps5 top 100 are mostly players like this because you can just simply abuse the struggle mechanic and deny left or right. I probably wont invest in ufc6 if the submission system is still the same. I cant wait for undisbuted.
